Synopsis

Renton Thurston is a bored 14-year-old stuck in the sleepy town of Bellforest. His real dream is to join Gekkostate, a group of mercenaries who actually do interesting stuff, but his grandfather keeps pushing him to become a mechanic and he's constantly living in the shadow of his dead father's reputation. The only thing that keeps him sane is riding Trapar waves—basically surfing, but through particles floating in the air. Then one day a giant robot crashes through his garage. It's a Light Finding Operation called the Nirvash typeZERO, piloted by a girl named Eureka who's part of Gekkostate. She needs the Nirvash fixed up, and that chance encounter is all it takes. Before he knows it, Renton's helping her tune up the mech and ends up joining her as co-pilot. His boring life is officially over.
