Synopsis

Hotaru Tachibana has a strong sense of justice and can't resist calling out people doing wrong. She's also a girl who disguises herself as a boy. When she hears that a popular host at a local club tricked her best friend, she decides to confront him. At the club, the host—Masamune Matsuoka—challenges her to a survival game using toy guns. Whoever gets hit first loses. Hotaru loses the fight and the ensuing destruction leaves her in debt. Masamune forces her to join his survival game team, Toy Gun Gun, to pay it off. She's frustrated at first, but quickly falls in love with the sport and becomes determined to clear her name. Her new teammate Tooru Yukimura isn't thrilled about the arrangement, but Hotaru gradually bonds with the whole group and gets caught up in their dream: winning the Top Combat Game, Japan's national survival game tournament. There's just one problem—well, actually two. Hotaru's terrible at the game, and Toy Gun Gun's team policy strictly forbids female members.
