Synopsis

One snowy day at her shrine, Nanami Momozono's familiar—a fox youkai named Tomoe—suddenly collapses with strange dark markings spreading across his body. His old master, the land god Mikage, reappears and seals Tomoe into a magical mirror to buy him time. Mikage reveals the curse's origin: centuries ago, before meeting Mikage, Tomoe fell in love with a human woman and made a deal with a fallen god to become human and be with her. It backfired spectacularly, leaving him cursed and dying. Mikage solved it by making Tomoe forget his human lover entirely. But the curse has awakened again—because Tomoe's fallen for his current master, Nanami, and history is repeating itself. Since the curse can't be stopped, Nanami decides to prevent it from ever happening in the first place. She travels back through time to save Tomoe, even knowing it might mean they never meet. As she journeys centuries into the past, she uncovers something shocking: her connection to Tomoe runs far deeper than she ever realized.
