Synopsis

Fuutarou Uesugi is a brilliant student, but his life is pretty rough otherwise. He's got no friends thanks to his cold personality, and his family's drowning in debt, so money's always tight. One day at school, he gets into a fight with a girl over a seat during lunch—total clash of personalities. But that same afternoon, he catches a huge break: a wealthy family needs a private tutor for their daughter, and they're offering five times the normal rate. He jumps at it. Then he shows up and realizes the student is the exact same girl he just argued with. Her name's Itsuki Nakano, and now they both can't stand each other. Things get worse. Itsuki's actually one of five quintuplet sisters, which means Fuutarou's now responsible for tutoring all of them—Miku, Yotsuba, Nino, and Ichika included. None of them want to study, all of them are flunking, and they make it very clear they don't want his help. But with his family's financial situation hanging in the balance, he's determined to push through anyway. His goal: get them to actually care about studying and make sure they graduate.
