Stand By Me Doraemon
Nobita Nobi is a lazy elementary student who's terrible at studying and sports, and half-hearted about everything. He's a pushover, unlucky, and afraid of basically everything—personality traits that've basically ruined his entire life and somehow messed up his descendants too. His great-great-grandchild Sewashi gets fed up with this and decides to do something about it. Sewashi time-travels from the 22nd century back to the 20th to confront Nobita in person. He shows up in Nobita's bedroom drawer along with Doraemon, a blue robotic cat. Doraemon claims Sewashi forced him into this gig, but he's actually there to try and make Nobita happy. After getting a good look at how hopeless Nobita's situation is, though, Doraemon wants to bail and head back to the future. Sewashi shuts that down by activating a lock program in Doraemon's system. Stuck in the past, Doraemon starts helping Nobita the only way he knows how—with futuristic gadgets pulled from his four-dimensional pocket, basically an endless magical bag. Whether Doraemon can actually turn Nobita's life around and earn his ticket back to the future becomes the real question.
