Synopsis

Vampires have existed for centuries, feeding on human life force under cover of darkness. But Karin Maaka, a high school vampire, is weird even by vampire standards. She suffers from polycythemia—a condition that makes her produce way too much blood. The more she builds up, the more lightheaded and anemic she gets, leading to constant nosebleeds. Her fix is pretty unconventional: she needs to dump her excess blood onto unsuspecting people. Strangely enough, instead of becoming victims, they actually feel better and happier afterward. Her siblings help keep things under wraps—her younger sister Anju and her older brother Ren, a total ladies' man, use their powers to erase the victims' memories of the whole thing. Nobody suspects a thing. Until Kenta Usui transfers to her school. He's sharp enough to notice something off about Karin's behavior, and he starts poking around. Worse, Karin finds herself having an unusual reaction to him. Her blood literally reacts differently when he's around, which complicates everything.
