Sakura's class is putting on a play for the school festival this year, and she's been cast as a princess dealing with a love confession. The role hits a little too close to home—she's still sitting on an unresolved confession from a boy four months ago. Things get complicated when her cousins Shaoran and Meiling show up from Hong Kong for a surprise visit. Their arrival actually pushes Sakura to finally get serious about her feelings. But she keeps getting sidetracked by something that feels like a Clow Card, and weird disappearances are happening all over town. It turns out there's another creation of Clow Reed's called "the Nothing" that was sealed under the magician's old house. This thing is powerful—like, equal to all 52 cards Sakura's already captured—and it's after her cards. Every time it steals one, objects and people start vanishing from Tomoeda. Sakura has to hunt it down to stop the disappearances, but capturing it might cost her more than she's willing to pay.
