Synopsis

Aqua Hoshino and Kana Arima have scored roles in a stage adaptation of the manga Tokyo Blade, produced by Masaya Kaburagi and directed by Toshirou Kindaichi. Aqua plays the lead, Touki, while Kana takes on Tsurugi. Rounding out the cast is Aqua's girlfriend Akane Kurokawa, who plays Princess Saya, Touki's fiancée. The problem is that the manga's fanbase has always preferred Tsurugi as Touki's romantic interest, so Saya's been sidelined more and more in recent chapters. This makes it tough for Akane to connect with the character. Things get worse when she realizes the stage script diverges significantly from the source material—something that's also got the original author, Abiko Samejima, frustrated. None of this really bothers Aqua, though. He's got his own agenda. His real reason for being involved is to get close to director Kindaichi and figure out what he knows about Aqua's mother, Ai.
