Most people think civil servants are pretty useless—lazy, unhelpful, the whole package. But three new recruits are about to find out what actually goes on in government offices. There's Lucy Yamagami, who's got a grudge against the bureaucrat responsible for letting her ridiculously long name make it onto her birth certificate. Then there's Yutaka Hasebe, a laid-back guy who's mainly interested in finding places to nap. And Saya Miyoshi, a anxious first-timer who's never worked anywhere before. Together, they're about to learn what it's really like to be a government employee—spoiler alert: it's not glamorous. Their supervisor is supposed to be Taishi Ichimiya, a guy who's been working there for eight years but somehow still has no idea how to train anyone. Stuck with an incompetent boss and dealing with angry clients all day, the three of them start questioning their career choices.
