He's a third-generation city employee working in the welfare department's nursing certification division. The guy's got confidence to spare—he claims he's naturally good at pretty much everything and has enough charm to wrangle email addresses from attractive clients, which he's not shy about bragging about to his boss Taishi. Despite being kind of a slacker, he'll actually drop what he's doing to help out Yamagami and Saya when they get stuck with difficult customers. He loves needling Yamagami about how he's always pushing her buttons.
Outside of work, he's picked up some unexpected skills. He's solid at ventriloquism and surprisingly fluent in sign language, even though he only recently started learning it.
