Word's going around that someone's planning to burn down the Shinsengumi headquarters. Most of the chatter seems to be coming from an inn in Shimabara, so the Shinsengumi figures Chizuru Yukimura might be their best shot at getting to the bottom of it. They send her in undercover as a geisha to spy and report back, but she quickly realizes the situation is way more complicated than anyone bargained for. Meanwhile, the guys aren't exactly thrilled about putting their only female member in harm's way. Despite their doubts, they all agree they'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
