Synopsis

Hajime was once a talented young violinist, but he walked away from music after his father—a professional violinist named Ryuuji Aono—got caught up in a scandal that brought unwanted media attention down on the whole family. Now in his final year of middle school and living with just his mom, he's struggling to figure out what he even wants to do with his life. That changes when he hears his classmate Ritsuko Akine playing violin. Suddenly, music doesn't feel like something he has to avoid anymore. With Ritsuko's support, Hajime decides to prepare for the entrance exam to Umimaku High School, which has a prestigious orchestra program. Getting in is one thing, though. Actually joining the orchestra means he'll have to confront what happened in his past and find a way to move forward with music.
