Seirei Academy is one of Japan's top schools, and Alya—the half-Russian, half-Japanese student council treasurer—is basically its poster child. Smart, beautiful, and serious to a fault, she's got everything figured out. Then there's Masachika, a classmate who couldn't care less about school and seems completely uninterested in her. At first, Alya finds his indifference annoying, but she can't stop thinking about him. She starts flirting with him in Russian, assuming he won't understand a word. Except he does—fluently.
