Synopsis

Kakushi Gotou is a fairly well-known manga artist with a problem—his work is pretty explicit. When his daughter Hime was born, he made a promise to himself: keep it hidden from her at all costs. He's convinced that if she ever finds out what he really does, she'll lose all respect for him. That paranoia drives him to ridiculous extremes. As a single dad, he's dedicated, sure, but he goes overboard trying to protect his secret. He pretends to be an office worker every day, runs emergency drills in case Hime somehow discovers his studio—the works. Kakushigoto follows this father and daughter as they live their quiet life together, with Kakushi desperately trying to maintain the lie. But secrets don't stay buried forever. Eventually Hime's going to learn the truth about everything she's taken for granted growing up.
