Synopsis

Magano is a parallel world infested with monsters called Kegare, and exorcists are tasked with eliminating them. Benio Adashino is a brilliant young exorcist with a stellar reputation, summoned to Tokyo by the Exorcist Union. On her way there, she literally crashes into Rokuro Enmadou—another exorcist, though one haunted by a dark past. The Kegare don't wait around. When Benio and Rokuro witness a pair of kids being dragged into Magano by one of these creatures, Benio charges in without hesitation, pulling Rokuro along. During the battle that follows, Benio finds herself losing ground—until Rokuro steps in to save her, proving he's every bit her equal in skill. The series follows these two exorcists as they're destined to become the "Twin Star Exorcists." But there's more to it than that: they're prophesied to become the parents of the Miko, a reincarnation of the legendary Abe no Seimei, whose birth will finally eradicate all impurities from the world.
