Rokuro used to be genuinely cheerful, driven by the dream of purifying and destroying Impurities and Magano. But the Hiinatsuki tragedy changed everything—the fear of losing people he cared about made him abandon exorcism altogether. He wanted out.
These days he's all over the place trying to reinvent himself. Soccer, acting, you name it—he's failed at basically all of it. He can't even read a map properly. The guy just isn't talented in those areas, and he knows it.
That said, he's terrible at actually staying on the sidelines. When someone needs help, his instinct kicks in no matter what. He'll throw himself into danger without thinking twice—like when he jumped in to save Benio from an Impurity she couldn't handle alone, or when he bolted into Magano to rescue Ryougo without considering what could happen to him.
He's pretty reckless and talks way too much. Benio definitely calls him "loud." But beneath all that noise, he's carrying real emotional weight. He just works hard to keep a brave face so nobody around him has to worry.
