Synopsis

For centuries, Japan has been plagued by terrifying creatures called Kegare that slip through from a parallel world called Magano. The only people fighting back are exorcists—a secret group dedicated to wiping them out completely. Rokuro Enmadou is a 14-year-old exorcist with serious talent. But something traumatic happened to him, and now he hates exorcists and has given up on his dream of becoming the strongest. His complete opposite is Benio Adashino, a beautiful and gifted exorcist the same age who's basically carrying everyone's hopes on her shoulders. These two couldn't be more different, but prophecy says they're the "Twin Star Exorcists"—destined to have a child together who will be the ultimate exorcist capable of destroying all Kegare and purifying the world. Problem is, they're just kids. They've got a long way to go before they're ready for any of this, so naturally, their path is going to be rough.
