Synopsis

Sotoba is your typical quiet small town where everybody knows everybody else—until Megumi Shimizu, an ambitious young girl, suddenly dies from what nobody can quite identify. As the summer drags on and more bodies start piling up, the town's doctor, Toshio Ozaki, realizes this isn't just some passing illness. Something worse is happening. Toshio pulls together an unlikely group: Natsuno Yuuki, a detached teenager who couldn't care less about most things, and siblings Kaori and Akira Tanaka, who were close with Megumi. Together they start digging into what's really killing people in Sotoba. Their investigation eventually points them toward the Kanemasa mansion and whatever creepy secret the new family living there is hiding.
