Synopsis

When Tetsuko "Alice" Arisugawa transfers to Ishinomori Middle School, she overhears classmates gossiping about a creepy rumor: the previous student who sat in her seat—a guy nicknamed "Judas"—has gone missing and is probably dead. Word is one of his four wives poisoned him. While dealing with her overbearing mom and fending off bullies, Alice decides to dig into what actually happened to Judas. Her investigation eventually leads her to her reclusive next-door neighbor, the eccentric Hana Arai. After a rocky first meeting, Hana's willing to help out and hatches a plan that might get them some answers. The two of them team up to figure out the truth about Judas' disappearance—and maybe become real friends in the process.
