After nuclear war left the surface uninhabitable, humanity's survivors retreated underwater to wait out the radiation. Amamiku, along with her AI companions Pyron and Mayzamik, are responsible for protecting a vault of seeds—basically a genetic archive for restoring life to the surface once the air becomes breathable again. The problem is, not everyone underground actually wants to see that happen. Some people have gotten comfortable with their underwater existence, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to keep things from changing.
