Synopsis

Hachiman Hikigaya is a cynical, unmotivated high school student who's convinced that the whole concept of a fun youth is pure fantasy. Anyone claiming otherwise? They're just deluding themselves. After getting busted for turning in an essay that trashes modern relationships, his teacher forces him into the Volunteer Service Club as punishment. The club's whole thing is helping students solve their problems and reach their goals. There's just one other member—Yukino Yukinoshita, who's gorgeous and acts cold as ice. Suddenly Hachiman's stuck dealing with everyone else's drama, which is basically his worst nightmare. As he and Yukino start tackling student problems together, it becomes clear that Hachiman's jaundiced worldview might actually be useful. Or it could completely backfire. Either way, he's about to learn more about people than he ever wanted to know.
