Youtarou Hanabusa just wants a normal life. That's pretty much all he's asking for. But as a member of the Knights of the World—this old, international organization—his training has left him cursed with what he calls "White Knight Syndrome." Basically, whenever someone's in danger, his body moves on its own to help them. It's automatic, and it's embarrassing as hell. So he carries a mask around to hide who he is during these moments. Then he saves Makio Kidouin, a young girl from some rich, prestigious family, and his whole world flips upside down. One heroic act is all it takes. Suddenly he's got it all—money, luxury, comfort. But he's also stuck dealing with the chaos that comes with knowing someone like Makio, whose life is anything but normal. She's six years old, energetic, and comes with her own crowd of weird friends and people with axes to grind. Now Youtarou has to keep her safe while maintaining his secret identity as the masked hero Knight Lancer. Basically, his quest for a simple, quiet existence just became a lot more complicated.
