A freelance photographer caught up in Shocker's scheme to create the perfect weapon. The evil organization abducted him and turned him into a cyborg, intending to use him as a counter-measure against Takeshi Hongo, the first Kamen Rider. But before Shocker could complete the brainwashing process, Hongo managed to rescue him.
Rather than becoming Shocker's tool, Ichimonji ended up joining forces with Hongo. The two became partners in the fight against Shocker and went on to support the Riders who came after them.
