Hotaru
Hotaru attended Shinigami Academy, where she mentored younger students including Momo Hinamori, Renji Abarai, and Izuru Kira. She was a capable fighter who led training missions into the material world alongside Shūhei Hisagi and Aoga.
During one of these missions, Hotaru was killed when a group of hollows ambushed the team. Her death is notably more graphic in the manga, where she's impaled by a hollow, compared to the anime's softer depiction of the same scene.
