He's known for leading squad patrols tasked with hunting down intruders in Soul Society—though he's more memorable for being a shameless flirt than an effective security officer. He famously failed to recognize Orihime Inoue and Uryū Ishida when they showed up disguised as Shinigami in his own squad. While he was busy trying to hit on Orihime, Uryū had to actually remind him that, you know, they were supposed to be catching intruders. The awkward moment got worse when Toshimori got pissy about being called out by an unseated officer and started threatening Uryū—though he never followed through, muttering something about finishing it later before heading off to resume his search. Uryū, of course, had no intention of sticking around for that conversation.
