He's got this grandfather energy going on with Alpha, and he's the actual grandfather to Takahiro, so he's pretty embedded in their world. The guy calls himself a bum without much shame about it, though there's something wistful there when it comes to Sensei—fans often note he seems to regret not making a move back when they were younger.
