Synopsis

The world's pretty much done for. Mt. Fuji erupted, Yokohama flooded, and humanity's on its way out. In this dying world, there's an android named Alpha Hatsuseno who runs a small cafe just outside the city. Her owner's been gone indefinitely, so she's basically holding down the fort alone. The cafe doesn't get many visitors, but Alpha doesn't let that get her down—she's genuinely upbeat about everything. While waiting for her owner to come back, Alpha spends her time exploring the area on her scooter with a camera in hand. She meets different people and other androids during her travels, collecting little moments and memories along the way. Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is really just a quiet, easygoing series about Alpha going through her days. The whole thing's less about plot and more about capturing how time passes in ordinary life—which somehow ends up being pretty beautiful.
