Rei is a self-proclaimed vampire who genuinely can't handle sunlight—even morning sun puts him in a terrible mood. He's one of the school's "Three Oddballs," though he comes across as pretty social on the surface. The thing is, he never lets anyone in on what he's actually thinking.
He's got this weird habit of talking and acting way older than he is, and he knows an unusual amount about the school's history. He spent a year studying abroad, which is why he had to repeat a grade.
Despite being president of the Light Music Club, Rei puts in basically zero effort to actually run it. He's genuinely attached to his younger brother Ritsu, a second-year, but the affection isn't really returned—Ritsu treats him pretty harshly. Rei's part of the unit UNDEAD.
