A calm and dignified man who acts solemnly in accordance with shido.
He's the head of the Shinsengumi and is admired by Souji Okita and Toshizou Hijikata. Normally, he is a gentle man, but when the time comes to take action, he is as quick as lightning. The destructive power of his blows can tear a hostile person in half in an instant.
He's modeled after the real-life Isamu Kondou.
