Gai Mou was one of the Seven Fire Dragons of Wei, a legendary military unit that faced off against Zhao's Three Great Heavens and Qin's Six Great Generals during their era.
At one point, Gai Mou and Rei Ou threw their support behind Earl Shi in a bitter conflict against three other Fire Dragons—Tai Ro Ji, Shou Sen, and Ba Tou. The dispute was deeply personal: Tai Ro Ji had killed Earl Shi's younger sister. The clash ended with the deaths of the opposing generals.
This act of defiance came with a steep cost. Gai Mou spent the next 14 years locked away in an underground prison alongside his fellow Fire Dragons as punishment for their rebellion.
