Synopsis

During China's Warring States period, two orphaned slaves named Xin and Piao dream of becoming great generals despite their lowly status. When a nobleman offers Piao a chance to work in Qin's royal palace, the friends swear they'll both reach the top one day. But after a coup tears through the palace, Xin finds Piao dying—and his final words set everything in motion. That's how Xin meets Zheng, the young future king of Qin. They start off at odds, but eventually become partners and embark on a brutal journey together. Zheng wants to conquer all the warring states and unify China under Qin rule, while Xin is determined to climb the military ranks and become a legendary general. Surrounded by constant warfare and political intrigue—both on the battlefield and behind palace walls—the two pursue their massive ambitions and reshape the course of history.
