Masked Deuce is the first member of Ace's crew, the Spade Pirates, though he's ditched his real name in favor of the alias—and yeah, nobody knows what it actually was.
He's basically out there chasing adventure, though he wasn't exactly thrilled about becoming a wanted pirate at first. Deuce comes across as pretty serious and levelheaded, which is why Ace's goofy enthusiasm threw him off initially. But he came around eventually and ended up respecting the guy. He's the type who's both dependable and kind of a worrier at the same time.
Writing is his thing. He documented his time sailing with Ace and turned it into a story, which he's clearly proud of. Fair warning though—if you trash-talk his writing, he'll make you look bad in future versions of the story and just leave your name out entirely.
