Goteitaishi is a Shinigami in the Eleventh Division. He comes across as brutish and intimidating most of the time, though he's quick to show his cowardly side when dealing with people who intimidate him. Like a lot of guys in his division, he's got strong opinions about strength—he once told Seizo Harugasaki that it's basically sad to have weaklings around, since the division should only accept strong fighters. He tends to throw his weight around with anyone he sees as beneath him, casually ordering them to do his bidding.
