Akane Kowata is Makoto's older sister and basically the opposite of him when it comes to personality. She's genuinely skilled at magic—like, seriously good—which has made her something of a big deal in witch circles. But rather than settling down or taking her talent seriously, Akane chose the nomadic life. She spends most of her time traveling around with her cat Kenny, and when she's not on the move, she's probably napping somewhere. She's got that carefree, do-what-you-want energy that tends to make people either love her or shake their heads at her choices.
