Kouko is Fuuko's older sister and works at the Furukawa Bakery alongside the family. She used to teach art at Tomoya's school and has a reputation for being genuinely kind to everyone around her. Nagisa really looks up to her—she was one of her favorite teachers back in the day. She's currently engaged to Yusuke Yoshino.
In the movie adaptation, her role shifts slightly: she's a drama teacher instead of an art teacher, and she teams up with Youhei and Tomoya to help get the drama club off the ground for Nagisa.
