President Douta
President Douta runs the company that sponsors Team Pendragon, though he's barely around. He's mostly known for nervously laughing his way through situations while the Managing Director handles all the actual work. The guy just doesn't seem built for leadership—he basically checks out and lets someone else call the shots.
In the manga, the Managing Director is a woman roughly his age, but the anime swapped her out for Gigatani for reasons nobody's ever explained. It's one of those random anime adaptation changes that fans still scratch their heads over.
