Hermit is a female android designed to look like a small, delicate girl. She's got bright blue eyes, long light-blue hair worn in pigtails, and distinctive violet stripes running down her cheeks.
Her outfit changes depending on where she is. When she was first discovered on Iron Hill, she had on a white bodysuit decked out with dark-blue armor plating, violet sleeves and legs, and a mechanical headband that looked like it was built for combat. Later on in Digitalis, she switched to something more civilian—a sleeveless black dress shirt with a fur collar and ribbon, paired with light-colored sleeves, a white skirt, and dress shoes. The shift in wardrobe hints at a pretty different situation.
