Genya Shinazugawa is a Demon Hunter in the Demon Killing Corps and the younger brother of Sanemi, the Wind Pillar.
Early in the series, Genya had a short, stocky build with messy hair shaved at the sides, thin eyebrows, and a prominent scar stretching across most of his face. By the time he reappeared later, he'd grown significantly—now taller than average with longer hair down to his neck and a muscular, scarred physique.
His personality matched his rough appearance. Genya started out as a foul-mouthed, temperamental loner who bristled at any help and couldn't be bothered with politeness. That started to change after fighting the Upper Moon demon Hantengu alongside Tanjiro, Mitsuri, and Nezuko. The experience seemed to soften his edges somewhat, and he became less of an isolationist.
