An Old Woman from Bruno's Neighbourhood
An elderly woman who's lived in Bruno's neighbourhood long enough to remember when he was just another kid on the streets. She knows him well—well enough to respect what he's become, even if what he's become is a gangster. From her perspective, though, he's an honourable one, which apparently matters. She's the type who'd nod at him on the street and probably slip him a homemade meal now and then, the way you do with people you've watched grow up, regardless of how they end up.
