It's 2001 in Naples. Giorno Giovanna is a petty criminal with big ambitions—he wants to become a "Gang-Star." What sets him apart is his connection to the legendary Joestar bloodline and his Stand ability, Gold Experience. Things take a turn when he crosses paths with Bruno Bucciarati, a mobster working for the gang Passione who also happens to be a Stand user. They quickly realize they're on the same wavelength—both disgusted by what Passione does. Giorno pitches his plan: with Bruno's help, he'll take down the boss and reshape the entire organization. Once Giorno joins Passione and gets brought into Bruno's crew, he learns the gang is way more complicated than he expected. Turns out it's basically crawling with Stand users, split into different squads with their own agendas and wildly different power levels. Their plan to reform the gang from within suddenly looks a lot harder. As Giorno climbs the ranks, he has to fight through these rival squads while trying to get close enough to the boss to actually do something about him—assuming he can even figure out who the boss really is.
