Junpei grew up the son of a stuntman who passed away. Like a lot of kids trying to live up to that kind of legacy, he started out chasing what he thought of as "masculine" sports—the tough-guy stuff. But somewhere along the way, he discovered ballet, and that became his real obsession.
His ambition is pretty specific: he wants to be the first Japanese danseur noble, which is basically the highest rank you can reach in classical ballet. It's a demanding goal, but he's committed to it.
