Unable to refuse, he was coerced into arranging Celia's marriage to Charles as a way to hold her as a hostage, ensuring his continued cooperation. After Celia managed to escape, he helped Christina flee the capital as well when she returned from an evening party. However, Charles grew suspicious of his involvement. Desperate and running out of options, he had to place his trust in Rio, who appeared at a critical moment and managed to get Christina safely to Rodania.
