Shoujou is Masira's brother and a devoted follower of Montblanc Cricket. Both brothers grew up fascinated by the legend of Cricket's ancestor, Montblanc Norland—the fairy tale that shaped their whole outlook on the old man and his dreams.
The Straw Hats didn't get off on the right foot with Shoujou and Masira. The brothers actually pushed them back pretty hard during their first encounter, with Shoujou unleashing a devastating sound-based attack that nearly totaled the Going Merry. Things changed once the crew met Cricket himself though. After that, Shoujou and Masira warmed up to them considerably and even pitched in to help retrofit the Going Merry so it could make the journey to Skypiea.
