Chie is a photographer and information broker who's been tight with Shuu Tsukiyama for years. She knows he's a ghoul but honestly doesn't care enough to rat him out—it's just not her thing. When Tsukiyama asks her to feed intel to Kaneki's group, she agrees without much fuss.
She gets involved with the Quinx Squad after tracking down its members to pitch them information on Torso. The real reason? She's got an unusual fixation on their leader, Sasaki. Whether it's genuine interest or something darker, she keeps that close to the chest, but it's clearly what drives her involvement with them in the first place.
