Jigoro is a General Zombie—a middle-aged guy with a thin mustache, his head wrapped in bandages and what looks like a metal casket bolted to his legs. He wears a yellow shirt reading "Your Song," short shorts, and a haramaki around his stomach similar to Zoro's.
He used to be a samurai. Back when he was alive, he single-handedly killed seven thousand pirates to protect his family before dying at age 59.
As a General Zombie, Jigoro was significantly stronger than the rank-and-file undead filling Thriller Bark's ranks. Once Zoro's shadow got infused into him, he could actually pull off Zoro's Santoryu sword techniques. But even stripped of his ego, he couldn't stop butting heads with Inuppe—the zombie carrying Sanji's shadow—and the two kept fighting over orders.
Eventually Moriah drained all the shadows from his zombie army, including Jigoro's, to power himself up even further.
