One of the Fuujin oni's original eight demons, he was reincarnated into a spider's body and adopted its form as his host.
He fancies himself a schemer and actually comes up with plans that should work in theory—the problem is his goofy personality tends to sabotage them spectacularly. Head over brawn is his preferred approach, but the execution rarely matches the intention.
Somehow he ended up as Onimaru's right hand, though it wasn't really a promotion earned through skill so much as a lack of better options at the time. He spends most of his days running errands: recruiting fighters, gathering intel, whatever Onimaru needs done.
Despite serving in Onimaru's faction, he's not actually a bad person. His loyalty to his master is unwavering, but he never harbors real animosity toward Yaiba's group. He's notably the only one of the original eight demons to stick with Onimaru all the way through—the rest either fell in battle or switched sides—even though Onimaru constantly mistreats him. It's a rough gig, but he sticks with it anyway.
