Kuguri's most distinctive feature is probably his light, spiky hair—which he insists is just chronic bedhead, though his teachers seem less convinced and keep giving him grief about it. His droopy eyes don't help; he genuinely looks disinterested in pretty much everything around him.
And honestly, he kind of is. Kuguri's the type who operates at one speed: unmotivated. Getting him excited is apparently a lost cause. When Coach Oomizuki pressed him about where his passion was, Kuguri's response was basically "It's burning. somewhere"—which perfectly captures his whole vibe. He's not lazy exactly, just perpetually running on low energy.
As a wing spiker, his game reflects this personality. His jump (4/5) and technique (4/5) are solid, and he's got decent intellect (4/5), but his stamina (2/5) and speed (2/5) are noticeably weak.
