Erik the Whirlwind is a non-canon mercenary who shows up as the main villain of the Warship Island arc in One Piece's anime. He's best known for being hired by Commodore Nelson supposedly to hunt down the Thousand-Year Dragon—a legendary creature whose bones allegedly grant eternal youth. But Erik was never really loyal to Nelson; he was just using the Commodore to locate the Dragon so he could claim its power for himself.
