Dimitri piloted the MA-04X Zakrello mobile armor for Zeon during the early stages of the One Year War. He never got much of a chance to prove himself in combat—after watching his fellow pilot Tokwan get taken down by Amuro Ray's RX-78-2 Gundam, Dimitri was eager to get revenge and test his own skills. Char initially held him back, figuring there'd be other opportunities down the line, but Dimitri managed to get clearance from Mulligan to sortie anyway. It didn't go well. He was outmatched against Amuro and the Gundam, and was killed in the engagement.
