The 72 demons sealed inside King Solomon's body woke up after his death with their own agenda. They claimed Solomon's name for themselves—though from their perspective, they're the real King of Magecraft—and decided humanity's next chapter would be its conversion into pure energy.
Originally, the 72 demons were Solomon's own creation: a system designed to efficiently enforce reason itself. But the system grew to resent Solomon's relationship with humanity. It became something darker—a curse that took form to "correct" the imperfection in humans that Solomon chose to overlook.
They call themselves Goetia: the anthropic principle incineration formula. It's a form of magecraft with genuine will, built to reach true wisdom. Now it's using all of human history as fuel to push toward the origin.
